In 2004, The National Geographic Channel began to broadcast a new television show, The Dog Whisperer starring acclaimed dog behavior expert, Cesar Millan.  With the success of The Dog Whisperer people began to wonder, how did this unknown Mexican immigrant learn to be such a wizard with dogs?

The star of The Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan, learned most of what he knew about dogs growing up on his grandfather’s farm in rural Mexico.  He saw how the working dogs did what was expected of them with out any special commands or rewards. Cesar observed that the packs of dogs on neighboring farms always seemed to be fighting and testing each other for dominance, to be the pack leader.  On his grandfather’s farm, there was no fighting among the dogs.  Cesar’s grandfather was the pack leader merely by being calm and assertive.  This became the bedrock of Cesar’s dog training philosophy.

At the age of 6 Cesar began to study Judo and before the age of 12 he had won several local championships.  Most importantly, he learned the discipline, humility and work ethic that would serve him so well in his quest to improve his life.

The young Cesar Millan loved dogs and knew that what ever he did with his life, it would have to involve dogs.  At first he thought that he might become a vet but after watching The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin and Lassie on his family’s first television set he began to dream of coming to America and becoming a famous dog trainer for the movies.  Eventually, at the age of 21, Millan snuck across the border illegally and began his new life in America.

After a few years working as a dog groomer in San Diego, Cesar Millan made his way to Los Angeles. There he realized that he could make his living rehabilitating troubled dogs.  As word of his skills spread by word of mouth, Cesar met the famous actor, Will Smith, and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.  The Smiths took Cesar under their wing and began to help him with improving his English and putting him in touch with other families with troubled dogs.

Today Cesar Millan is the owner of the renowned Dog Psychology Center in South Los Angeles.  He is also the author of a New York Times top 10 best seller, “Cesar’s Way”.  He is the star of his own TV show, The Dog Whisperer, and the most sought after dog trainer in the world.

One of Cesar Millan’s best tools for canine behavior modification is the inline skate.  Often on his TV show Cesar would put on his skates and let one or more of the dogs in his charge pull him for a long skate.  Having dogs pull him on skates provides a fun exercise for the dogs, and is also fun for Cesar.  Cesar believes that dogs, especially big city dogs, don't get enough strenuous exercise.  This lack of exercise can contribute to dog behavioral problems.  Cesar’s "Dog Whisperer" audience loved to see him gliding through city streets on his inline skates being pulled behind his dogs.

Through the show’s producer, Cesar became aware of a revolutionary new kind of roller skate, the LandRoller angled wheel skate.  The new LandRoller skate with its two oversized wheels mounted on the outside looked like they could take a skater more smoothly over rougher surfaces than an inline skate.

For the 2005 season of The Dog Whisperer, Cesar began to use the new LandRoller skates as part of his canine exercise regime.

Often during the course of The Dog Whisperer shows, Cesar will put on his LandRollers, and, with one hand holding the lead, let an exercise-starved dog pull him through the city streets.  One can see that Cesar really loves being pulled along by one or more dogs.  It’s also true that Milan can now skate over many more surfaces than he could with his old fashioned inline skates,

Before long, Cesar’s Millan's fans from all over the United States began to ask about the strange new skates that Cesar was using on The Dog Whisperer show. They were not Rollerblades and they were not quad skates.  What kind of roller skates were they? There was even a picture of Cesar wearing his LandRollers and being pulled by his dogs in his best selling book, “Cesar’s Way.”

Cesar Millan was even wearing his LandRoller skates when he appeared at the 2006 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.  The attending crowd of celebrities loved the new skates.

Millions of Milan fans also saw Cesar on TV during the 2006 Hollywood Christmas Parade.  He waved to his many cheering fans who braved the cold weather to see the famous Dog Whisperer in his brand new LandRoller skates being pulled down Hollywood Blvd. by his pack of dogs.

Soon, the LandRoller skate company was inundated with inquiries about their new Angled Wheel skate Technology. Today, thanks to Cesar Millan and his hit TV show, The Dog Whisperer, many novice skaters, recreational skaters and expert skaters alike are learning about this exciting new skate technology.  The new LandRoller skates are now bringing the same kind of excitement to the roller skating world that Rollerblade brought to the scene twenty-five years ago when they first introduced the inline skate to the roller skating community.
